MPL visits the Port of Barcelona
07 / 四月 / 2008After the invitation issued by the Chair of the Barcelona Port Authority, Jordi Valls, the MPL delegation visited the Port of Barcelona on April 7.
The delegation was led by Aurelio García de Sola, Managing Director of IMADE on behalf of the Councillor for Economy and Consumption of the CAM, accompanied by Alicia Hinojosa, Deputy Director of the IMADE; Tomás Iribarren, Manager of MPL; Juan Ramón García Notario, MPL’s Director of Institutional Relationships; and Gonzalo Romero de Lara, Secretary of the Board of Directors.
The visit aimed to strengthen relationships between Barcelona and Madrid with a view to encouraging projects that improve communications between both regions, granting importance to the position of both in the current competitive logistics sector.
The day started out at the Port of Barcelona, where the Chair of the APB introduced the Madrilenian delegation to the Port. They group then visited the Port Vell and the Commercial Port. Subsequently, MPL and the CAM Network of Parks and Clusters were introduced to a large group of Catalonian entrepreneurs in the logistic activities area (ZAL).
